Juniper Front Community Garden
Our Garden, Our Community
Established in 1981, Juniper-Front Community Garden (JFCG) is one of the oldest community gardens in San Diego, providing a greenbelt in the culturally and economically diverse urban neighborhood of Bankers Hill, just north of downtown San Diego.
We have 70 plots of organically grown flowers and vegetables, and a dozen fruit trees on just under a half acre of space.
Become a Member
Each JFCG member is responsible for gardening one plot, helping to maintain the common areas, and paying membership dues. Members plant, water, weed, and maintain the garden year-round. Due to demand, the wait to become a member is about two years.
